Armenia Participates at PDAC Annual Convention

An official Armenian delegation headed by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Armen Movsisyan, participated at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention, Trade Show and Investors Exchange – Mining Investment Show, held in Toronto Metro Convention Centre on March 6-9. The delegation also included Mr. Areg Galstyan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Suren Khachatrian,  Governor of the province of Syunik, and representatives of several Armenian mining industry companies.

In the framework of the Convention a special presentation on Armenia’s national resources and mining opportunities was organized by the Canada-Armenia Chamber of Commerce. The key speaker during the event was Minister Armen Movsisyan, followed by the representatives of mineral exploration companies currently operating in Armenia, Mr. Jonathan Goodman, President and CEO of Dundee Precious Metals, Dr. Hayk Aloyan, Managing Director of Lydian International, Mr. Sergei Nossoff, First Vice President of GeoPro Mining and Bill Mavridis, President and CEO of Caldera Resources. The presentation was attended by a large number of PDAC delegates, representatives of Canadian and international mining industry.

Caldera Resources also presented the Marjan Gold-Silver Project (Syunik province) at the PDAC Core Shack.

Minister Armen Movsisyan and members of the official delegation met with Hon. Christian Paradis, Minister of National Resources of Canada, and Hon. Michael Gravelle, Minister of Northern Development and Mines of Ontario. The delegation also visited the Toronto Stock Exchange and held working meetings with Canadian mining industry representatives.
