On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of establishment of the Armenian Embassy in Canada the solemn concerts performed by the Armenia’s best young musicians were organized in Toronto and Montreal on March 5-6, 2005, on the initiative of Ambassador Ara Papian and with the assistance of Armenian organizations of Canada.
Greeting the respected audience representing widely the Armenian Community in Canada as well as the non-Armenian Canadians and guests, Ambassador Papian noted that such events lend still greater importance to the Embassy and to its role as a mouthpiece and promoter of state interests of an independent country.
The guests of the events were afforded great pleasure with skilful rendering of masterpieces of classical and Armenian music performed by the young but already experienced Armenian musicians, 19-year old piano player Lilit Grigoryan, 22-year old violinist Gevorg Gharabekyan, 13-year old saxophonist Hayrapet Arakelyan and 23-year old soprano Narine Ojakhyan who had been graduated from the famous musical institutions in Armenia and abroad.
On this magnificent occasion Ambassador Ara Papian highly appreciated the comprehensive activities of some of the most devoted representatives of the Armenian Community in Canada who deserve well of the Embassy. They were presented with the golden pin symbolizing the Armenian-Canadian friendly relations. |
