A group of school students visits the Armenian Embassy |
On June 20, 2007 a group of students from the Elgin Street Public School visited the Armenian Embassy.
The fifth and sixth grade students, accompanied by their teacher Cara Lipsett, had a tour of the Embassy and learned about the history of that century old landmark building. They were also introduced to the Armenian history and culture, and were presented with a CD about Armenia.
After the tour, they had a meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Arman Akopian, who told the students about the functions and the purposes of an embassy. Mr. Akopian answered their questions about different aspects of diplomatic work.
The Embassy also organized a picnic on its grounds for the children.
