Welcome to the Consular Section of the Armenian Embassy in Ottawa.

The Consular Section is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Please ensure you book an appointment before visiting the Embassy for any consular issue.

The following services are available:

For Armenian citizens:

• passports
• consular registration*

*Attention: All citizens of the Republic of Armenia holding permanent residence, working or student visas in Canada, are kindly requested to be registered (temporarily or permanently) at the Consular Section of the Armenian Embassy in Ottawa.

For non-Armenian citizens:

• visas
• special residency passports
• adoption
• dual citizenship

The Consular Section provides the following notary services upon request:

• registration of birth, death, marriage, divorce, change of name,

• issue duplicates of documents originated in Armenia,

• legalization of documents originated in Canada,

• translation and verification of documents,

• notarization of copies of documents or the authenticity of signatures.

Persons requesting notarization or legalization of documents are expected to visit the Embassy in person. The documents may be also sent  by mail; in such case, the documents must be first authorized by a Canadian notary, then certified by the Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada, and sent to the Embassy of Armenia for final legalization.
