Armenian Students’ Association

ASAThe Armenian Students’ Association (ASA) is a socio-cultural club that brings together students of Armenian decent currently studying in higer education institutions in Ottawa.

The ASA is recognized and subsidized by Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO) and by Carleton University Student Association (CUSA). The ASA, as a non-profit and non-religious academic club, will welcome as a member any student.

The ASA is founded based on the following objectives:

  • Promote the knowledge and understanding of the Armenian culture, history and heritage in the university’s community.

  • Enhance interaction between Armenian and non-Armenian students.

  • Maintain contact with other Armenian and non-Armenian Student Associations in Canada.

  • Provide educational services to Armenian and non-Armenian students.

The ASA will promote different social, cultural, and academic activities that are clearly in line with the stated objectives. These may include:

  • Informative and educational lectures, presentations, and conferences that serve to educate and solidify the club members as well as the student’s community at the University of Ottawa, Carleton University and the Algonquin College.

  • Entertainment events and sports activities.

The ASA is not affiliated with any religious or political groups. It is an academic, cultural and social association, not used in the promotion of the political agenda of any group, faction or other organization.
